What can I put in tomato plants that has calcium?
hello. The bottom of my beefsteak tomatoes have big brown spots growing on them. Like a hard shell. Someone told me, the tomatoe plants need calcium. thanks rmj

Hello. I use Tomato Tone. It is very high in calcium, and saved mine one year. You can also put crushed up egg shells at the base of the plant. Good Luck!

Egg shells work but not quickly ... great for a compost pile, but direct application is seldom successful as quickly as you need ... but it may not be lack of calcium --- your local Agricultural Agency can do a soil test for you --- more harm is done by inappropriate amendments to soil than by doing nothing at all
