What kind of knobs would look best on these kitchen cabinets (pic)?
I recently painted my oak kitchen cabinets white. Before I painted them, I had purchased black cabinet knobs. But now that the cabinets are painted, I don’t think I like the look of the black knobs against the white cabinets! I don’t know if I should leave the cabinets without knobs, or get brushed nickel or chrome knobs or glass knobs. What do you think? Thanks!

I would go with either silver or brushed nickle. It would go with your stainless steel appliances. We are also hoping to paint our kitchen cabinets soon. We intend to spray paint our existing knobs. If you have paint built up on your knobs and hinges, you can put them in water in a crock pot, set on low, overnight. In the morning take them out and rub all the buildup off with a clean cloth.
Coloured knobs can pack a punch of color against white cabinets, and designed knobs give instant character. Check ebay for inexpensive prices.

I had no knobs on my kitchen cabinets for years. Once I painted my cabinets--similar to what you have--I put knobs on them! I vote for putting knobs on your cabinets! They really do add color and style! If you have a local home improvement store like Menards, Lowes or Home Depot you can buy a few different styles and hold them up to your cabinets to see if you like them. Menards and Home Depot has bins of cabinet knobs that allow you to purchase one knob rather than an entire package. Return the ones you don't like.
Any of those three choices would be good and any of them would look better than the black. Clear glass would give it a retro country look. The silver ones would be more contemporary. I guess I would vote for matching the appliances. I can't picture colored knobs if you want to keep the soft, neutral look you have going now and they would dictate a color sccheme for years to come.
I am going to differ....I think I would like the black knobs....matches your stove and microwave. Now this depends on what color your floor is, however. I put black knobs/handles in our newly remodeled bathroom but do have oak woodwork and doors in there. Looks good with the black towel holder, TP holder and robe hook.
