How can I Extend my laminate countertop?

I am wanting to Extend the Width of my peninsula countertop, so that I can do a faux finish WITHOUT putting ALL new countertops on. I would like to do something like stonecoat countertop using an epoxy from the company “Stone Coat Countertops”

Hi, Robin. Great question (and great idea to extend what you have without a whole new [costly!] installation)!
I found this video that shows how to use Stone Coat on top of laminate. I believe adding a support base, with a plywood (sealed) to keep it level would be applicable in your case.
