How do I restore my bathroom cabinets to look like new?
My bathroom cabinets look pretty bad especially around the knobs, they are stain oak wood, so not sure if the paint would take if I wanted to paint them.

Painting works great. Remove the hardware. Sand, prime , paint 2 coats of oil based paint. Will look like new
Sand them down lightly. Go to HD or Lowes and purchase some stain the color of the wood. Polyshades has stain and sealer included. Or you can stain and use a polycrylic. Take off the handles and knobs Use an old tshirt to stain. Should look as good as new when done, without painting.
