Hi Bobbie, the goal here is to keep it supported. Depending on its length I would slip a 2x4 under it at either end and at least every 2 feet. You could also just slip a large thick piece of plywood under the whole thing. Then lots of hands to help you move it. When you store it do it standing up on its longest side.
It might be a good idea to have a granite guy do it for you. The super expensive part of a granite job is the stone itself.

Check to see if any screws or bolts have been placed to hold it down. It is usually caulked to hold it so you will have to break the seal all around.
