Best way to give a granite-look over old wood kitchen countertop?

    Cement it. Make a small frame, pour cement and before it dries dribble a color powder or paint (I found both work) with a thin stick drag it thru and around to give a marbled look.

    They make kits for countertops, from brands like Gianni and Rustoleum, but you would need to check to see they can be used over wood.

    The popularity of granite is drying, but wood on counters in the kitchen is popular again. Why not sand down your counters, and restain?
