Laundry room makeover
I have water and sewer pipes and electric outlet in back of my washer and dryer. How do I disguise the mess?
My washer is across from my dryer. It is between two walls with enough room on one side for hamper for dirty clothes, two in fact with netting separation (light and dark) but all goes in one if you catch my drift! I also purchased a tension rod that would be used for shower curtain so I have it above washer for hangers and also to remove items from washer and/or dryer and hang immediately. Just an idea and it may be impossible for you but might help you think of something else. Good luck! I also have tin signs about laundry of course on walls!
I have found that a thorough cleaning and decluttering helps tremendously to show what needs updating.
Sometimes it’s as easy as paint. A couple of new baskets. A clothes hanging rod. Maybe a piece of driftwood with “Laundry” painted on it or one of those really cute country clothesline pictures.
Go to laundromat and then appreciate what you hzve, lol! Seriously though, paint is the first way to go that is inexpensive and room changing. Next if you have cabinets, line inside with a fun paper or paint color so when you open for detergent you smile. Or add cabinets and get them off the floor of a big box home store, and paint or stain as you like. I really don't understand why anyone bothers with this room. It's behind close doors not meant to be seen except by person doing laundry, and you don't sit in there the machines do the wofk. You load and go do something else, don't you? Anyway, I hope that helps.
im a fan of adding shelving, even a high shelf isgood for storage.
