Do to energy efficiency and air penetration issues, I prefer using LED flush mounts that look like can lights. You may want to explore this option first

I have recently installed this shallow style of ceiling integrated LED lights, and now, would not consider any others. Go the extra small step and install dimmer switches. That way you will get maximum versatility in being able to adjust light intensity according to room activity, time of day, and season.
