Best upgrade to a can light (IMO) is to remove the can, insulate the opening and install LED can light that only goes into the ceiling less than an inch. You will gain a lot of energy efficiency, both in heating/cooling and electricity consumption.
I thought you meant POT light, Installs in ceilings...correct?
There are lights at Lowe’s ( idk where you live) but they have lights that screw into where the bulb goes and they turn any canned light into the pendant light of your choice
I concur with Laura. With the new shallow profile integrated LED 'puck lights' there is no need for insulation, as the lights do not give off heat.
