Mirrors are a great decorating trick in making an small space appear larger. You can also hang your draperies as close to the ceiling as possible; that'll help make the room look taller. And think light, neutral colors. Good luck!Helpful Reply -

If you hang curtains keep them close to the color of the walls. It makes the room look bigger because of the unbroken color scheme. Get them long enough to go from ceiling to floor to make the room look taller. https://www.buzzfeed.com/jessicaprobus/ways-to-make-a-small-space-feel-so-much-bigger?utm_term=.pkmjDQAjP9#.khj7joB7YWHelpful Reply -

You can find ideas here on Hometalk and check out Pineterest too. I also googled, "decorating ideas for small spaces and came up with hundreds of ideas. How about posting some pics of your home/apartment.Helpful Reply -

All of your furniture should be something that provides storage or does double duty. Coffee table with drawers and/or shelves, ottoman with storage, a drop leaf table used for a side table but converts to a small dining table, etc. nesting tables provide surfaces when decoratin. An old buffet makes a wonderful tv stand but has drawers and shelving.Helpful Reply -
