Best use of old dishwasher space ??

Question

I have a very small kitchen and have removed the dishwasher as I never used it.  Can anyone give me some ideas as to how I should utilize this space for more storage and not spend a lot of money !  Thanks ~~Jenny

I would go to a thrift store and try to find a small storage unit, or research garage sales,or even crags list for a small unit of sort.

Be sure to measure the interior area and look for a shelf unit or even a small chest of drawers that could fit inside.  Thrift shops, estate sales, garage sales are all good places to look.

If it's covered by the counter-top I've seen some spinning pot racks from bicycle wheels. And there could still be room for a shelf on the bottom.

Do the skirted adjustable tension curtain rod for the face and store whatever you need stored behind it. KISS- Keep It Simple Silly. (and pretty darn cheap!)

I installed pullout metal rolling shelves from Lowe's. Use them to store chips, bread, paper plates etc . Then used a tension rod and a curtain to cover the opening.

We had the same problem in a house we used to live in. We pulled out the dishwasher and bought a small refrigerator and kept cold drinks and condiments in it. It supplemented the main fridge which wasn't very big for a number of years. We never missed the dishwasher!

we removed our dishwasher too. We added rollout garbage containers, one for garbage and one for recycling. It works great. We added a door to match our kitchen cupboards so now it hides all the garbage..
