Unless you plan on spending tons of money on the wire shelving I would suggest you buy the units already made. It doesn't take long to put a unit together and there are tons of sizes available. If you happen to have a salvage store nearby you can usually find wire shelving units cheap. They might be missing a few screws, etc. but well worth buying as you can buy the few little parts needed for next to nothing.
