Put them between something heavy that you don't use very often, or build a little enclosure on the shelf that you keep the wine on that will hold what the usual amount of wine bottles you keep in the pantry.
If your shelf is wire put a couple of giant binder clips on the wire that would be the end of the bottle zone. If the shelf is wood you can put a big command hook at the end of the bottle zone and perpendicular to the shelf's edge. Or on wood you could put a couple of long screws into the shelf and leave them stick up around an inch and a half. You could also glue or stap some bottle length, large diameter PVC pipes together into a grid of storage.
