How do i utilize the space above my kitchen cabinets?

I live in a small condo with a small kitchen and would like to utilize the space above my kitchen cabinets for storage. But I'd like it to be decorative too.

Use your largest decorative bowels for baking, trays, and pitchers set them on top of old magazines or books to bring up to view, check out Good Will for inexpensive small art tripods(ahh, can’t think of the name).for the trays, or just brace them upright with something sturdy behind them. Add faux flowers but get ones that you can change out for the seasons, like fall colored grasses, and, those that are more weed style. add a fun sign that greets the season throw up a cool branch and some fairy lights. On the faux flowers, throw them out or wash them every year. And don’t fill every cor, step back and see how it looks. You can even try hiding large items like Crock pots, or turkey pans, stock pots, by putting an open cook book in front of them, since they are only used infrequently.

You can buy decorative baskets and use them for storage. Put some wax paper or parchamet paper over your stored items to keep clean

Hello Marianne, Buy some bunches of fruit or flowers that can be placed on top. Put items you rarely use up there. Make sure the top is solid wood to hold the weight, if the space is flush with the cabinets, you could put baking items on the top. Stand them up with some support. A 9 inch Spring form pan, a loaf pan, anything related to baking. Try to pick a theme, so things are related. Aloha!

We use decorative baskets and wooden milk crates above our kitchen cabinets! We store everything from kitchen towels, to paper goods, to tupperware in them!

I would place simple but pretty wicker baskets (in which to store small items) on top of the cabinets. Or painted wooden crates would work well, too. Good luck! 🍀

I added a simple rolling cart with shelves to a bathroom to create more storage:
