Keep in mind that vinyl LP records should not be stored flat, or stacked on top of each other, as it will cause warping.
It all depends on how many you have. I would build something that will contain them so that they will be assessable for use behind doors. You could build a cabinet, bench, whatever you want as long as the are perfectly upright and close together so they don't warp. If there is space on the side, make sure whatever you use to hold them up covers the entire size of the cover. Make sure it isn't close to a fireplace or heater vent as that will cause warping really easy by softening the vinyl. Keep it away from areas of higher moisture to keep the covers from developing mold/mildew.
