A few ideas: 1) instead of hanging lights on the house, you could get one of those lights that project onto a wall of the house. Some designs are snowflakes, stars, or Christmas things like reindeer or Santa. 2) You might also ask a friendly neighbor to put up lights for you. 3) There is a website called NextDoor. If you join it, you will "meet" lots of folks who live in your area. Where I live (S Florida), NextDoor is very active, and often when seniors ask for help doing things like this, many, many people volunteer to do jobs for free. Try that.

    Hi Franklyn,

I would keep things simple and up off the ground. Also something that does not require climbing.

You could put garland on the shrubs with a string of lights if you have an outside outlet. If you have a porch with a rail, garland and lights again.

Another thought would be to hang plastic ice sickles, ornaments, bulbs on any low branches .

I know you requested outside, but have you considered putting a battery run candle in each window?

Hi, if you are referring to the holidays. Stick to the battery operated candles for your front widows and a wreath on the door. Remember all that goes up has t come down.
