How can I hang my holiday lights inside the windows of my house?

My days of setting up the lights all over the house and trees outside are done along with me hanging myself off a ladder in the cold. I would love to have a pretty display in the windows of my home BUT NOT the overdone candlesticks or those pre formed cheezy pieces. Any thiughts?

If you have perfectly flat surfaces, use the 3M command hooks to install lights in windows either at the top, in a swag fashion, or along the perimeter of the windows. Attaching additional hooks will allow you to criss cross the lights from one side to the other ("Z or X" patterns, etc. ), if so desired.
You could put up the LED lights around the inside frame of your window with clear packing tape or if you choose a small hook at each corner that would not show and could be used for many different holidays and would allow you to change out or take out the lights very easily. That is what we do and the tiny hooks do not show. More importantly, there are now command hooks of all sizes that could be added to each side rather than the metal hooks. They can be added and removed without any damage to the wall or window. If we were to hang lights today and did not already have the metal hooks, I would use command hooks today. We love decorating too and windows are a perfect place to put some of our many lights.
Hi, you can always use fishing line and hang directly to the window frame. Being that it is translucent the line will be almost impossible to see. I would get a little crafty and get some automatic tea light candles and place them inside a clear ornament which you can decorate to
your liking The possibilities are endless when decorating the ornaments yourself.
Good luck; I hope this helps you.
A wreath wound with lights looks nice in a window. If there are no battery operated lights, there should be.
