like I said once human scent is involved bird will not go back
Maybe maybe try to put them back in the nest if you can get to it and kind of watch it and see how Mom does with it if the cats don't get it the stupid blackbirds will get it too

You can always call your local animal control and they will either bring a ladder tall enough to put it back in the nest or at least would know where they could take the baby bird so it's fed and cared for until it's able to be set free back into the wild again. A local vets office should be able to give you info on what to do aswell

If you know where the nest is and can put baby bird back safely then do so. If not, you can leave baby bird on the ground and the mother bird will find it and feed it. We have many baby birds in our backyard every year and normally when they are out of the nest it's because they are supposed to be out. Unless a huge gust of wind has blow the little one down I wouldn't worry too much.
