Found Items - Bench and Planter

Found this 1950's garden bench by the kerb for kerb side clean up. There is no back to it and the frame is rusty and the slats rotted. I already knocked off the slats and removed the bolts using bolt cutters. It will get a clean with a wire brush and meths, then some rust converter, metal primer and red metal paint. Then new Merbau or Kwila slats. Planning on keeping this one for our back garden. Will post again when finished. My poor husband got dragged out with me to pick it up from round the corner to where we live as it would not fit in my little car! I also found this drum from a washing machine perhaps? Snaffled it for a garden planter.

Who would have believed the very next day the same household put another one of these garden benches out the same - couldn't turn it down, so now I have two of these old wrecks to fix up! LOL!
