How big is your pot? Tomatoes can get big . . .
My Mamaw who hated to weed would have loved container gardening. As a matter of fact, she did keep a half barrel with a tomato plant growing near the back door. She also had in the barrel small light green peppers that she filled small jars with, added vinegar, and served with turnip greens and other vegetables. We called it "hot pepper sauce", but after living in five southern states, I've found that "hot peppers" has a lot of meanings. In the vegetable garden she grew tomatoes and okra on the same stakes with marigolds nearby. She really liked keeping food off the ground. Maybe this gave you a view you hadn't seen. Best wishes 😇
