Diguising septic cover

I am looking for ideas to disguise the ugly green septic covers in my yard since we recently upgraded the system. There are two of them and they are about 5-7 feet away from the house.

Do they lie flat? Diameter? How high up do they stand?

They lie flat, level with the ground - about the size of a large trash can cover.

I had one of those in our front yard at one time, hated it because it had a warning light on a pole sticking up about 4 feet!! We put lattice work around ours to hide it all. Since yours is level to the ground I would use it for placing potted plants on. Remember, if your sewer has to be worked on, the workers will need to be able to get into those places and if you plant flowers around them, they will get trampled.

Can you show us a picture of it from a couple of different sides? Without seeing it, I'm wondering if you could just remove any grass around it and throw an outdoor rug on top and some chairs and call it a day? but I haven't seen it...

I used a fiberglass rock with plants around the edge. Keeps the lawn mower off it.

They make these lg faux rocks that you can cover them with and then you could plant flower around that. A birdbath with plants or something around it. If you can completely cover it without causing problems to your septic you could build rock garden over it. You could also try some sort of free standing wrought iron stand or wooden column that you could hang baskets of flowers or ferns in.

I really like the idea of the faux rocks and flowers, but do you need to be able to get the lid off to get the system pumped out? If so, you need to plan accordingly, so if you do need to remove anything it is an easier job to do.

USE A FEW MARBLE THRESHOLD MOLDINGS ACROSS THE HOLE TO KEEP PEOPLE FROM TWISTING THEIR ANKLE WHEN WALKING ACROSS THE YARD. IT WILL ALSO HELP WHEN MOWING THE LAWN.
