I think the brighest prettiest is the Echeveria 'Rainbow Sunset, which has gorgeous rainbow colors on every flower.

Right now you can find succulents that make pretty flowers at Walmart. They are drought resistant and like full sun. They are low maintenance and can grow rather large.
Sedums and Hardy ice plant produce colorful flowers. Be careful though some succulents die after they flower which is not the finale you want!
Not a succulent but goes great with succulents- try Blue Mist Spirea.
Also not a succulent, but if you ever need to hide/cover a fence, or plant a slope, try bougainvilleas. They produce a solid mass of bright oranges, reds, purples. They do drop their flowers and will need to be raked up, but the flowers retain their color when dry and are easy to see even then. Vines can get huge which make them good for slopes... also drought tolerant.
Kalanchoe have many colors, red, yellow and orange to name a few. Another plant is cockscomb. Can't remember the proper name but your garden center will know. They're beautiful with touchable blooms that won't bruise the flower. Your dog will love them. They come in may colors. Enjoy your new plants!
I have a deep purple clemantis that I put on a small trellis, like a cage for tomato plants, so it is short. It has gorgeous blooms and I don't have to do anything to it yet (this is the 1st year I've had it).

Ornamental cabbage and Kale does well in late fall into winter. Several colors.
RE Daylilies. The blooms only last one day but plant often has several blooms on stalk. In the same family are Iris and gladiolus. The flowers grow up a long stalk and last a little longer than the usual day lily.
