I need to replace a trellis. It has been toppled over by winds recently. I wonder what I can do to anchor it in place.

Use treated 4x4 post attached to the trellis and cement the post in the ground.

I've always anchored them to a wall with U-shaped fastners and screws, if you want the trellis further out from the wall, I use wood block first and then apply the trellis over it. Those vinyl things otherwise tend to bend, twist and self-destruct.

My husband put it so far in ground, then added dry concrete and water. Then covers it with soil. Still standing after 15 years. If you ever want it gone, dig it up. The clump of concrete will be attached to the trellis.

You can buy Large Hair pins for the job, but If you had the High winds Like me, they will not hold, so this time I am going to set the Arch in Concrete.
