How do I get rid of aphids using Palmolive soap?

Hi there someone posted on my forum last week a recipe for getting rid of aphids without hurting my monarch caterpillars or possible their eggs. She uses palmolive soap and??? My page is gone now and couldn't go back and see. Thanks I want to be sure it won't hurt my caterpillars, but have never had aphids before and it is only on my milkweed plants. Not loads of it but get tired of wiping it off with my fingers. LOL

Hi,
This is the link to your previous post: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/outdoor/pest-repeller/q-aphids-43415218.
The comment you might be referring to is: "OK this is simple use this mixture. Get a spray bottle and fill it with water and like 10 drops of green, Palmolive dish soap. It must be the green kind. Sprayed on your plants. Aphids absolutely hate it and it won’t harm anything. You have to reapply after rain"
Good luck!
