Love the goat idea. The are sweet and playful and a joy to raise.
Why would you want to remove the sagebrush? Consider this - unless you are going to landscape in this area, the disturbed soil from sagebrush removal will become a hotbed for weeds to move in, and the area will be dusty whenever the wind blows.
