How can I keep my pet rabbits from eating my houseplants?

My two rabbits love the challenge of getting to my houseplants to eat them. One especially is good at climbing. I don't want to put a lot of holes in the ceiling to hang the plants. I'm looking for a solution that still looks decorative.

Hi, Amy!
I found this article that may be of interest... I hope this helps!
Move the plants. I went through that when I had rescue rabbits. I moved all the plants to a few rooms that had the right lighting for the plants and kept the doors closed so the bunnies couldn't get to them. Also they love cilantro, if you load them up on that, they may be less inclined to chomp on your plants. I purchased at my local Hispanic or Asian markets, generous bunches for a quarter each v. a sad wimpy bunch for a dollar or more at a regular chain grocery store. I fed them half a bunch at breakfast and a half a bunch at dinner.

Hi Amy: What you can try is making a mix of 1/2 bottle of Oil of Clove (you can get it at a candy supply store or in your grocery store if they carry candy making supplies and it only costs about $2 and is 2" tall) and 16 oz of water and spray your railing. Lightly spray your railing with water and then spray the mix on your house plants. It smells great, but once the bunnies get it a taste it, they will leave your plants alone. It won't hurt them, because we use it in candy making, but it tastes horrible when mixed with water. The smell will linger and the bunnies won't :) You may have to reapply every couple of months. Good luck
