How do I get rid of baby oak trees growing from the roots of my trees?

I still have many trees even after Hurricane Harvey removed quite a few. I have to keep mowing a carpet of babies that sprout from the roots. It is getting to be a real problem.

You will have to keep cutting them off or pulling them up. With no greenery on them they won't survive.

Are you left with stumps? If so, drill holes into the top of the stumps and a pour a generous portion of sale into them, do the same for the viable roots. That will kill the tree's remains.

Wow, 50 year old trees, my comment meant to say salt, sorry. But I still stick by my answer, drill and salt.
