I pull by hand, and those I can't pull I cut off and give a squirt of herbicide. -

They probably have been planted by squirrels or other small animals. I just pull mine out by hand when I see them. If you want to use chemicals...weed be gone or roundup would work. -

Pull them up as soon as you see them. They send down deep roots so if you don't get them fast the roots will hold so only the top pops off, then they will keep sending up new tops while the roots grow stronger and you will have to dig out a big hole to get all of the root to be rid of it for once and for all. I get them all the time, they even sprout in my summer flower pots. -

Round Up or something like it will do the trick - but you have to also dig them out! Good luck!
