How do I get squirrels out of the sofits of my house?

Hi! I think that you will need to hire a professional. Squirrels can cause tons of damage to your wiring, etc.

We had the same problem, they entered the attic through the soffit. Since they love to chew, it was easy to come in, right through the wood.

We hired a pest elimination company. What they did over a period of weeks was to immediately install a 1 way out system that was made of wire mesh tube, it had an end flap that closed as soon as they exited the tube, never to return unless they found another way in.

Once there was no more activity up there, the company removed the wire tube and closed the wood chewed opening. The next thing they did was secure the soffit with screws. Done!

You might want to address your infestation right away because if they have a litter up there, it could be added grief, time, and expense based on the potential damage they could do.

We barely made it, by the end of January, I am not sure how long the squirrel gestation period is, but you Google could tell you.
