you could try greasing their access route with WD40 or something.
Or wipe with diluted mint oil. They don’t like 5he smell and it will obliterate their “mapped route”
also don't like cinnamon or pepper....spread around base of whatever you are hanging it on

Go to home depot they sell ant away for the feeder .you hook it on your shepherd hook then hook the hummingbirds feeder to it .they really work .I have used mine for two years .I wrap them up in winter in cling wrap .
