How to get rid of pricker weeds?

Get rid of pricker weeds? I have tried everything Epsom salt dishwashing liquid pure salt directly on the weeds as well vinegar boiling water pulling out the whole weed with roots even some pesticides directly on them as well. I have to flower beds separated by our porch the pricker weeds are on the side with a dwarf lilac tree and some other perennials any ideas I can pull out weeds on one day and the next they tripled and grown higher also how the keep control of weeds that grown in between concrete ( I have tried all of the above on these as well) and lastly what type of perennials ( colorful ) flowers would be awesome around a pool ( chlorine pool )

    What are pricker weeds? tanglefoot? burdock? berry bushes? We don't know what you are dealing with. What area, what does it look like? send picture please.

  • You might have to dig them out, going in as far as possible to get as much of the root as possible. Clip them down first, then dig.

    Hard to explain weeds with tiny like needles on the whole leaf that you have to wear heavy duty gloves to get them out

    I had prickly weeds that no matter what I did would come back. I looked into it and found that they had deep deep root systems that no amount of pulling or digging would eradicate. I bought Roundup and soaked them good. And then I did it again every week for five weeks. Killed the root system and now I am prickly weed free. Roundup currently has a bad rap, but I don't know anything else that will do the job.

    I use Roundup, one application works. A friend uses vinegar and says the vinegar kills everything in its path.
