Moth balls..smell will drive them out..

If the family is young, you may have to wait until the little ones are big enough to get around on their own. The first thing is to find out how they got in, in the first place and be ready to close up that opening once they're gone. Moth balls do work. So do the motion sensor strobe lights. I got one on Amazon and it worked really well (without the smell of moth balls). Once your freeloading tenants are gone, seal everything up. Get rid of the nest and sprinkle or spray an animal repellent product around your shed. You can also grate Irish Spring Soap and toss the chunks around the shed's perimeter.
Had that in my Mom's shed... closed off the opening by covering with Hardware cloth (= wire mesh) and left the original 'vent' open... no more critters.
