If you are using compost or especially, mulch, you may have issues with mushrooms. I have lived in towns that create mulch for community use out of Christmas trees, discarded lumber (not treated wood) and old branches, limbs and trunks and we used to get mushrooms. There is an old saying, "I feel like a mushroom, because I am kept in the dark and am fed a bunch of crap." Okay, so it must be dark and moist where you are sprouting 'shrooms. Good luck! -

Oh the rare occasion they turn up in my yard, I just pluck them out by hand and sprinkle a little epsom salt in the area.- See 1 previous
