How to get rid or prevent squash bugs in my pumpkin patch?

I live in southern Ontario. I have a small pumpkin patch that gets infested with square bug every year. It seems the each year the bugs get worst. Any advice?

Hi. E.s I use a mix 4 tablespoons of dish soap with a quart of water inside a spray bottle. Spray your plants with this. You don't want to use anything that will get into your plants and harm you when you eat the fruit or veggie. If you have vine borers, check this site:
