Searching for an all natural bee repellent

Question

I currently have bees that are drinking near any water we have. With having two children who might be allergic like their grandpa I don't want to risk them getting stung. Does anyone know of an all natural bee repelent I can use? I don't want to kill them if I don't have to, just want them to stay away.

If there is a beekeeper nearby (3 mile radius) it may be honeybees. I am glad to hear that you don't want to harm them. Honeybees are struggling and we need to protect all of them that we can. They are essential to our well being and our own livelihood. Any bee in going to go where there is water for a drink. They are normally harmless but I do understand your concern. Most bees do not like hornets and do their best to stay away from them. You could hang brown paper bags that have been stuffed and shaped to resemble a hornets nest around the water areas that you are concerned about. They scope out the area before entering for a drink so that may detour them. I have never tried it but have read that it works. Worth a try!

have your kids been stung before? if not i wouldn't wory to much....you have to have an initial encounter to introduce the venom to the host.....if they haven't been stung they don't have the antibodies against the venom developed yet. its the a hyper immune response to a foreigner substance that that's a problem. diphenhydramine can be given before potential encounter if some one is allergic to a certain substance. it lessons the reaction.

I’m interested in this too. We also have a pool and one day last week I removed 11 live bees from inside my home. They were all in several windows.
