Cover them with netting
Fence! Welded wire rectangles/ sturdy frame. Either boxes to enclose them or fence all around area.
Sprinkle all around the plants with the hottest chili spice you can find. I use habanero chili pepper I get from the bulk food store and sprinkle it around liberally on all my veggies and spices and they don't venture here anymore!!
