What type of weed is this and how can I get rid of it?

I've been noticing a lot of these growing all over my yard and would like to know how to get rid of them and what to use.  Thanks in advance.

Looks like Bermuda Grass, or a like weed, good luck, never been able to rid our lawn without major work, kill rake kill,rake then it's even not a for sure you kill it ,,very deep roots.

It's a weed. We have it all over this yard. If we didn't have this weed, we'd have mostly dirt. :)

I pulled every bit of it up as it spreads and kills off lots of perrenial flowers. And I continue to pull it whenever it shows up. Terrible weed.

weed killer in early spring then seed the area spring & Fall ~ looks like an invasive crabgrass

I am no expert on lawns, but it looks like a type of crabgrass to me as well. If so, there is really nothing to do this late in the season because crabgrass is an annual weed. What we did when we got a large crop was hoe most of it out until hubby decided to spray Roundup; then we resprayed 7 days later. 10 days later when everything was dead, we raked the yard good, put down a layer of top soil and laid Zoysia Emerald Green sod! Either sod or seeding will require watering. Roundup will not work unless it is at least 65-70 degrees. If you don't believe in using Roundup....????....you have lots of work ahead of you.

Round-Up for sure. I have used it on all of my weeds except in the lawn. This crab grass is the worst for being invasive. You have to stop it with Round-Up and then mulch.

It is Japanese Stiltgrass and Roundup will work to destroy it. However, be sure to spray before it turns to seed. I have had success spraying it when it is a few inches tall. It is easy to pull as it is shallow rooted but it can take over an area quickly, whether wooded land, garden or flower beds. Heavy mulching helps too.

Glyphosate and Glufossinate (various trade names) can be used to spot treat Japanese stiltgrass in gardens and planting beds. Both are broad spectrum herbicides that should be applied only to the unwanted plants. If applied to the foliage, stems, or woody portions of desirable plants, it could damage them as well.
