Lay down cardboard in the flower beds then cover with mulch. -

When my husband cuts the grass-he pours the clippings on the garden. It turns brown quickly-biodegradable-free. Just be sure flowers or veggies are up or you will kill them too. We don't use any chemicals on the back yard so it's clean clippings. -

Place heavy duty landscape cloth in the garden beds. -

mulch will help, it will not got rid of them all but it keeps the weeding to a minimum. landscape cloth works as well. -

I usually put down a layer of newspaper, several sheets thick, and then cover with a thick layer of grass clippings (we don't use chemical fertilizers on the lawn). Both materials eventually break down and help to enrich the soil. -
