at an agricultural growers supply company. i get perlite or vermiculite in a bag that is about 4 ft tall. its not something that goes bad.....i reserve about a 4th of the bag to start seedings -

I found some at both Walmart in the nursery department as well as t Menards. The prices were close to the same for bags of vermiculite. -

the closest to me is in Dyersville Iowa its called farmteck.. they do have an on line catalog. pearlite and vermiculite serve the same function. if you want to try hydroponics, irrigation on a timer you can order just the amount of supplies you need, not have to purchase the in store kits. -

On line catalog for farmtek it’s in a smaller town dyresville ...IA. just a bit of trivia it’s near where field of dreams was filmed...the Kevin Costner movie.
