this stuff is really hard to get up. it will be screwed in place most likely with stainless screws. get your self a really nice electric drill and some nice screw slots for it. go to work one piece at a time.

      Thank you for your response.

Screw tip chosen must fit the screw head, EXACTLY with no play, yet, yes, if screw is really tight the head will just break off. Not sure WHY you would want to remove trex decking, I love mine.

IF the head breaks off you should just be able to pry the board up and off the broken screw, as now there is only the threads hold it. You could drive a tool, I think they are called wrecking tools, with a very sharp edge under, and lift.

The Trex boards are deteriorating badly. That is why I am removing them. The company is replacing de planks but pays minimally for labor.

OK. for stripped screws you will need to have pressure under the boards so when you try to get the screws out the pressure will help you get them going. Need to have a pry bar or a "wonder bar" for that added pressure under the boards. do you want to get rid of these boards? then just saw them off with a reciprocating saw. dont cut thru the stringer under the trex boards or you will really be in a bigger mess than what you started with.
