Has anyone ever used "deck over" paint? How was it? Any problems?

Never heard of it. Google it's reviews.

My husband applied deckover last year. After about 4 months, it began flaking and peeling. It was horrible to sand off. He followed the instructions. After sanding it all off, down to bare wood, we applied Olympic Elite semi transparent stain and sealer. I wholeheartedly recommend it. The finish is beautiful, you can get it in any color, and it holds up to this Florida weather.

Horrid product. Use a stain that soaks into the wood rather than a paint that just sits on top of the wood. It will last longer and not peel. I use Armstrong Clark Stain--it is linseed based and soaks into the wood. It comes in different colors and translucencies. You can find it at the company website. You will have to do some prep to an old deck.
