How can I redo a small wall of aluminum siding that has peeling paint?

Diane, aluminum requires special treatment. First wash and dry thoroughly. I use TSP to make sure there's no chalkiness. Then prime with ALUMINUM primer. You CANNOT use anything latex on aluminum. Over the aluminum primer you can use an oil based or an acrylic paint.

Has the siding already been painted? I would personally hand sand the area, if it is small and repaint.
