Check with your local specialty paint store.... they will have the best information on what works best in YOUR area... you may have to do more prep work because the siding is metal... they will know.
Paint store owners across the street from me painted an old single wide trailer a few years ago. They prepped it by sanding, washed it down after, let it dry and painted it with latex paint. They gave it two coats. Still looks good.
Go to a private dealer paint store that carries very good pain and not store brands. Only buy very good quality paint. No cheap brand holds up! We found Benjamin Moore works the best and with 2coats will make it through 10-20 years! It is not worth using and less expensive paint and have to paint more often because it won't hold up well at all! We have used many brands over many many years and are definitely happy with the color tone and endurance of Benjamin Moore!
Good prep work will always help paint last longest! Sand off old paint and apply a good primer, too. Some paints can have a top coat of clear, but not always needed, it's in the paint. Buy a quality brand and understand fully how it's to be applied.
