What type of paint can I use on my ramp?

I have water sealed my wheelchair ramp several times, but I'd like to know what other types of paint I could use on it to protect it from the sun (which we have a lot of here in AZ.

I'm going to send you several of these to look over. I noticed many use non-skid paint on the ramps.

Hi Susan,
I was also going to suggest a non-skid paint, but as I was looking over the available articles I found one that is very important for your safety. Please read the website article below before making any purchase or trying to make a DIY grit paint. Wishing you the best.

Could a canopy or other shading be added? Use a high quality outdoor paint and sealer.

  Thanks, my mobile home awning covers about 1/2 of it but the sun still reaches most of it. Is made from wood, not metal by my husband's son about 6 years ago. The wood is starting to feel parched (dried out) to a point I'm afraid it will start to disintegrate. I can't afford to replace it, so just hoping to find another protectant from the suns rays.
