Create a marble effect on furniture
I brought these beautiful nest of table from a charity shop to upcycle and so far I have sanded the tops down and decided I want to create a marble effect on the tops of them if anyone could help me? I don’t have a clue how to go about it.

I know DecoArt has marbling paint. https://decoart.com/resources/NEW-Water-Marbling-1.pdf
You will need white paint gray paint and a darker gray and black .paint the base of the table eather white or light gray .then take some black realy fine line and go from one side of the table to the other side but make like a wave or a swirl then you will need a sponge lightly dab the black and follow your line keep doing this with all the colors going diffrent ways don’t blend to much when your done you might need to go over with black line again and sponge. Ad as much as you want in color or as little .good lick then varnish the tops when totaly dry

You can hand paint the faux marble (Hometalk has lots of tutorials for this so try the search bar at the top left) or you can get a marble contact paper. Some are pretty realistic these days.
