You can try using a leather restorer kit, or you can actually paint it using chalk paint! There are several tutorials on you tube telling you how to do this.I've seen several examples of this and it seems to work really well.A couple of tips though I've heard several people say. With your leather damage, sand the chair smooth first. Use several thin coats sanding between each coat. Lastly apply several coats of wax sanding between each coat except the last, then buff well. This will protect it and keep from cracking.

I'm afraid that I'm in the same boat with scratches on my leather chair. I tried to access utube but could get anything but invitations to gamble... What should I type into my browser to access this information? Thanks!

Hi Pat, sorry that your foster kitty has messed up your chairs. You can use “Rub-n-Restore”. It works really, really well and it's super easy to use. It comes in different colors too. It can also be used on vinyl. They have a whole bunch of tutorials on their website -

  • They make couch protectors for couches for that reason. At the very least I would put those on ASAP to prevent further damage.
