Be sure the layout is still worth it before you go through the troubl. If the top cabinets are 30" skimpy upgrade the uppers it will maximise storage

Thanks. These are really good cabinets - just a dated design (arch at the top) Thought maybe I might replace just the doors and paint all?

We had sturdy boxes, so we removed the old doors and had shaker style doors and drawer fronts made. We added hidden hinges to replace the original ones (which had exposed hinges). Then we painted the brown cabinets. They look much more updated.Much less expensive than putting in new cabinets.

The arch and cathedral arch is just traditional many still chose it depends on the style of the home once they are white or two tone(mahogony stained lowers/white uppers) (gray lowers/white uppers)(deep colored lowers/white uppers) it will completely breathe new life to the kitchen. You may consider still changing the upper cabinets doors completely or take some to have glass inserts added.
