How to build a padded headboard
-
GrandmasHouseDIY on Oct 12, 2015To build our headboard I bought a full size sheet of peg board (6x4 was what home depot carried), had it cut in half lengthwise and sand whiched it together so it was twice as strong and then 6x2. Then I just added two inch thick batting and wrapped it tightly in fabric and secured the fabric with staples on the back. We also added tufts by using the (very) convenient holes in the peg board using a large needle, thick thread, and big buttons we wrapped in the same fabric. From there I secured it to the wall above our bed with a french cleat.Helpful Reply
