Theodore...did u sand & use primer or paint with primer included? The sanding helps the primer & paint adhere.

Did you lightly sand to remove any shine? Did you prime the cabinets? Did you seal the cabinets? Three coats of a water base polyurethane.

The shinier the finish the more prep work no matter what you are refinishing /painting. The cabinets need sanded/more prep. so the new finish will stick/adhere. You can try KILZ® Adhesion Primer it is a water-base, modified-acrylic primer specifically formulated to bond to a variety of 'tough-to-paint' surfaces.but I'd rough up surfaces with sand paper first then wipe/clean surface well to remove grease residue then use the bonding primer then you can paint.

Hello, proper prep can you help ensuring a successful job this link might be helpful to see if they can add any information Why your paint product failed.

Additionally calling the customer service one 800 line on the paints can can be very helpful with suggestions from customer support. A few times and they’ve been very helpful to resolve our situation.

When it has been a paint failure problem -sometimes the mfgr guarantee will kick in -customer service will ship you replacement paint, in our case an alternate product or the same replacement paint to redo the project.
