Katrina Warren on Jul 27, 2015@ Since it is used outdoors for camping, I would remove the particle board top & replace it with 1/2" or 3/4" plywood, sand it, stain it, & use at least 3 coats of minwax helmsman spar urethane on it to protect it from the weather when camping.1 marked as helpful Reply

Debi53 on Jul 28, 2015I agree with Katrina. The particle board will not stand up to outdoor use. If it gets wet, it will disintegrate. Coat the new plywood underside with the protective coating before attaching it to the table so that the whole thing is waterproof.Helpful Reply
